The FCA have written to IPUG in relation to market data vendor bundling. Please email exec@ipug.org before 10am Tuesday 26th Sep of you require any examples of bundling sent to the FCA.
FCA letter is as follows …
Dear Caroline,
Thank you for engaging with the FCA Wholesale Data Market Study. In August we published our update report which details the emerging themes and issues we have found across the benchmarks, credit ratings data and market data vendor services (MDV) markets. The report also includes our provisional decision to not make a market investigation reference to the CMA for any of the 3 markets. The publication begins a 1-month consultation period for stakeholders to share views on this provisional decision and the emerging themes and issues detailed in the report.
In your response to the terms of reference earlier in March, you highlighted the fact that some of the essential content offered by Market Data Vendors should be made available in unbundled form to help promote efficiency in the financial markets. We would like to invite IPUG to a call with the market study team to discuss the details in your submission.
Our team are free on Tuesday 26th September from 10:00 – 10:45 or 15:00 – 15:45. If these slots are not suitable, let us know and we can provide further availability.
Please note the agenda items below and kindly let us know which IPUG colleagues should be invited to the call.
